West Hazleton Boro Multi tenant Structure Fire

Wed. May 2nd 2012

03:58 hours Structure box transmitted for West Hazleton Fire along with Hazle Twp, Harwood , APTs and West Hazleton EMS for reported working structure fire with possible entrapment. Upon arrival, portable unit reported heavy smoke and visible fire outside " D " side stairwell, unknown entrapment multi tenant housing complex three story. Hazle Twp responded with Engine 102 and Tower Ladder 107 to stage at the scene. Upon arrival, West Hazleton Fire Command Cara for truck crews to preform primary and secondary search of structure and begin ventilation activities, Engine company to assist with suppression activities along with West Hazleton Fire crews. Crews operated for approximately 1 1/2 hours for overhaul.
